![]() Now had Paly's not gotten a 90% res I could see the argument about this but since Verant feels that a melee class can do a 90% res then they broke the sacred "no melee will even do this" rule a long time ago. It is the arrow counterpart to the Endless Musket Pouch. While equipped, it serves as an infinite supply of Wooden Arrows, although these arrows can be affected by any bow that changes the type of arrow fired, such as the Marrow or Molten Fury. Since they will be self ports only with long cast times they cannot be used for evacs or for porting others. A player can have any number of arrows/quivers in their inventory (each quiver still only holds 20 arrows), but a player may only have one quiver at the ready during combat. The Endless Quiver is an item that is equipped in the ammo slot. There is the rangers Heart line of spells that require a specific arrow which is consumed. Make them long cast times - 24 secs and very high mana. For non-rangers (and rangers without Endless Quiver) arrows also need to be cheap. Many of us do have an Ancient Arrow just sitting in the ammo slot. It still falls FAR short in the Paly's ability to Lay Hands/Group Heal and 90% res so why not? This would not hurt Druids any more than POP will and will give Rangers a taste. So why not let a Ranger at level 59 (when Paly's get Res) get a self only port to the original low level Druid Rings? Devs have never suggested that it wouldn't be expended or that the expendable tag would ever be removed. Example: I used the quiver to create 20 arrows, then traveled 3 days in wild, did some shopping and tried to create new arrows, it had 30 minutes left on the cooldown. The Shadowspike arrow was never intended to be usable by rangers with Endless Quiver, it's part of a series of tradeskill quests. Problem with it however, is that it does not take account travelling distances. ![]() Sure then get SOW but not a single port which was one of the two main Druids abilities. EQ2 Forum Archive EQ2Wire > EverQuest II > Class Discussion > Scout's Den > Ranger: Endless Quiver I miss you ( Members List: Search: Notices. This item generates 20 arrows every one hour. I think in light of Paly's getting a powerful version of their parent classes main skill (group heals and res) that Rangers are shortchanged a bit. The cheapest 150 range arrows (1 damage, non-magical) are Class 2 Wood point arrows (field, wooden, parabolic, small trivial 56) these will be good for pulling, especially when you need to do no damage. ![]() Paly's are a melee class also and they get better heals and a Res and as such currently (I hope this changes LOL) heal on raids better than a Druid. For non-rangers (and rangers without Endless Quiver) arrows also need to be cheap. I don't think they are talking about all our ports just a few like Paly's get a 90% res. ![]()
